We offer private lessons in a safe & secure family environment, for electric, acoustic and bass guitar, drums and percussion, and adult vocal coaching.   Our instructors charge $15 per half hour lesson.  There are no sign-up fees or contracts.  We have time slots available for guitar & bass Monday through Friday evenings from 3pm to 9pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.  Drum lessons are available on Mon, Wed, Thurs evenings, and Saturdays.  Lessons are once a week, and paid directly to the teachers monthly (every 4 lessons).  Instructors can accept cash or checks.  The instructors request a 24 hour notice (unless emergency/weather) to cancel a lesson otherwise the student is responsible for payment.

JOSEPH HODGETT, Drums & Percussion Instructor

Joe has been playing drums for many years in various bands such as SPICOLI and THE BACKWATER BAYOU BAND to name just a few.  He has a degree from Blackhawk College where he studied jazz and performed with the BHC JAZZ COMBO.  He toured South Korea for five months playing on US military bases for our troops.  He teaches various styles including rock, blues, country, metal, jazz, drum n bass, jungle and funk.  Joe offers lessons Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

JACOB SEALES - Guitar & Bass Guitar Instructor
 
Jacob has been a staple in the Quad Cities band circuit for a number of years, playing lead & bass guitar in many genres of music.  He has played with local bands including Cody Road, Dirt Road Rockers, The Lovedogs, The Knockoffs and many more.  He studied under highly regarded musicians and music teachers in Nashville, including Jim Seales, Bob Wray and Steve Turner.  He has been on tour with country music legends Shenandoah, as well as in the studio with several other named groups.  He specializes in rock technique, blues, funk, fusion jazz, heavy metal and country music.  He is also a teacher of the Nashville number system, which regular gigging and studio musicians use as a main format of communication in the music world.  Jacob is available for evening lessons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays as well as Saturday mornings & afternoons.

MATT SELLERS - Guitar Instructor

Matt has been an experienced guitarist for over 30 years.  As well as having music theory education and teaching private lessons, he's been a lead & rhythm guitarist in many local bands over the years and has opened for several national acts including Night Ranger, Quiet Riot and Pat Traverse.  He currently plays in the local rock band Flash Point.  He offers lessons in acoustic, electric, 12 string guitar as well as beginning bass guitar on Monday evenings.

DONEEN ST.JOHN - Adult Vocal Coach (ages 16 & up)

Doneen comes from a musical family background, singing in church starting at the age of 5.  She aquired various musical experience throughout her school years including private piano lessons, playing the flute in band, and singing in choir as well as performing in school musicals & talent shows.  She was a student at The Academy of Popular Vocal Arts for 5 years, as well as performing back-up and lead vocals in various bands.  She is currently lead vocalist in the local rock band Flash Point.  Her specialty is Rock music, but is also able to sing & coach a variety of other styles including Pop, Folk, Country, Blues, Jazz & Contemporary.  Lessons are available on Monday evenings (starting soon).

We have students ranging from 5 to 75 years of age!  You're never "too old" to learn something new, especially something as fun as making music!  We also occasionally sponsor special events such as group music classes, drum circles, and workshops on sound engineering, lighting, guitar maintenance, etc.  Stop by today and start having some FUN!
